Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 1.62% or 0.180 points to trade at 11.320 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 1.00% or 0.0850 points to end at 8.5550 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 0.75% or 0.0060 points to 0.8100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 4.75% or 0.0094 points to trade at 0.1886 in late trade. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) declined 2.48% or 0.0225 points to end at 0.8845 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 2.27% or 0.0500 points to 2.1550.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.96% or 1.52 to $78.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.61% or 1.76 to hit $69.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1202.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1597, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8910.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.14.
