Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.23% or 0.0350 points to trade at 2.8850 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 0.76% or 0.1400 points to end at 18.4600 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) was up 0.75% or 0.0070 points to 0.9465 in late trade.
Biggest losers included J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which lost 2.02% or 0.2750 points to trade at 13.3500 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 0.93% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.2120 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.32% or 0.0160 points to 4.9440.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.43% or 0.33 to $76.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.74% or 0.51 to hit $68.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.10 to trade at $1213.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1716, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.9092.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.47.
