Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 1.96% or 0.0056 points to trade at 0.2915 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 0.25% or 0.0100 points to end at 4.0250 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.20% or 0.0100 points to 5.0400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 1.75% or 0.180 points to trade at 10.080 in late trade. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 1.32% or 0.0160 points to end at 1.1950 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 1.27% or 0.0600 points to 4.6700.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 12 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.04% or 0.70 to $66.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.39% or 0.89 to hit $63.02 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.25% or 16.60 to trade at $1316.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.2240, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8795.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 90.27.
