Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which rose 1.61% or 0.1400 points to trade at 8.8300 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.12% or 0.1950 points to end at 17.5900 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 0.94% or 0.0025 points to 0.2684 in late trade.
Biggest losers included F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which lost 1.96% or 0.200 points to trade at 10.000 in late trade. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.96% or 0.200 points to end at 10.000 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 1.86% or 0.0170 points to 0.8970.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 16 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.06% or 0.80 to $74.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.70% or 1.19 to hit $68.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.40 to trade at $1225.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1705, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8917.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 94.26.
