Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.98% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which rose 2.24% or 0.3750 points to trade at 17.1150 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 1.97% or 0.0960 points to end at 4.9800 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 1.25% or 0.0320 points to 2.6020 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which lost 0.97% or 0.0600 points to trade at 6.1400 in late trade. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 0.10% or 0.0200 points to end at 19.1400 and Sonae (LS:YSO) gained 0.26% or 0.0030 points to 1.1430.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 27 to 4 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.09% or 0.07 to $77.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.39% or 0.28 to hit $71.08 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1321.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1952, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8821.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 92.37.
