Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 2.51% or 0.0260 points to trade at 1.0620 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) added 2.27% or 0.0270 points to end at 1.2160 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 2.02% or 0.0700 points to 3.5300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 0.64% or 0.0015 points to trade at 0.2320 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 0.31% or 0.0450 points to end at 14.4850 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 0.22% or 0.0400 points to 18.0000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 16 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.62% or 0.40 to $63.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.21% or 0.13 to hit $60.73 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.40 to trade at $1353.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.2464, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8880.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 88.83.
