Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 3.46% or 0.6400 points to trade at 19.1400 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 2.77% or 0.1340 points to end at 4.9800 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 2.15% or 0.0060 points to 0.2850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which lost 2.00% or 0.2800 points to trade at 13.7000 in late trade. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 0.16% or 0.0080 points to end at 4.8840 and F.Rama (LS:RAMA) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 12.500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.63% or 1.22 to $76.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.20% or 0.84 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1314.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.1930, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 92.55.
