Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.03% or 0.0075 points to trade at 0.2550 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 1.72% or 0.0570 points to end at 3.3800 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 1.15% or 0.1950 points to 17.2200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 1.16% or 0.145 points to trade at 12.395 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 0.59% or 0.0260 points to end at 4.3610 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 0.24% or 0.0020 points to 0.8400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.17% or 0.10 to $60.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.24% or 0.13 to hit $54.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.86 to trade at $1277.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1631, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 94.48.
