Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO), which rose 4.39% or 0.0400 points to trade at 0.9520 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 3.20% or 0.2600 points to end at 8.3900 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.63% or 0.0040 points to 0.2494 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 1.20% or 0.0022 points to trade at 0.1814 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.43% or 0.0140 points to end at 3.2500 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 0.34% or 0.0600 points to 17.5800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.04% or 0.81 to $78.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.15% or 0.79 to hit $69.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.70 to trade at $1203.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1660, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8873.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.25.
