Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 5.15% or 0.600 points to trade at 12.250 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 2.31% or 0.1100 points to end at 4.8680 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 2.22% or 0.5000 points to 23.0500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 0.92% or 0.0024 points to trade at 0.2576 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 0.76% or 0.0700 points to end at 9.1000 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 0.72% or 0.0250 points to 3.4300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.22% or 0.17 to $77.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.15% or 0.84 to hit $73.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1256.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1744, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 93.75.
