Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.54% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which rose 2.41% or 0.3750 points to trade at 15.9600 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 2.01% or 0.0680 points to end at 3.4480 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.66% or 0.195 points to 11.970 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA), which lost 0.56% or 0.020 points to trade at 3.580 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 0.47% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.4260 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.35% or 0.0180 points to 5.1440.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 15 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.74% or 0.45 to $61.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.54% or 0.29 to hit $54.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 6.98 to trade at $1270.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1648, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.8778.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.47.
