Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.52% or 0.0057 points to trade at 0.2322 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 1.80% or 0.0710 points to end at 4.0120 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.60% or 0.0160 points to 1.0150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 1.47% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.3350 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.64% or 0.0210 points to end at 3.2680 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 0.52% or 0.060 points to 11.515.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.83% or 0.46 to $55.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.87% or 0.44 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1309.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1968, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8878.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 91.79.
