Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 3.32% or 0.390 points to trade at 12.150 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 2.64% or 0.1790 points to end at 6.9670 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.88% or 0.0480 points to 5.4810 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.34% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.2500 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.48% or 0.2300 points to end at 15.3250 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 1.03% or 0.0380 points to 3.6630.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 16 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.06% or 0.70 to $66.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.92% or 0.55 to hit $60.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 10.40 to trade at $1307.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.68% to 1.2023, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8889.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 91.82.
