Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 3.17% or 0.350 points to trade at 11.400 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.26% or 0.3500 points to end at 15.8500 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 2.09% or 0.1080 points to 5.2700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 2.29% or 0.0740 points to trade at 3.1610 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.34% or 0.0110 points to end at 0.8070 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 0.92% or 0.1500 points to 16.1300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 18 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.98% or 1.25 to $61.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.11% or 1.20 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.21 to trade at $1280.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.91% to 1.1773, while EUR/GBP rose 0.65% to 0.8954.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 93.86.
