Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.81% or 0.0190 points to trade at 0.3460 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 3.28% or 0.0280 points to end at 0.8810 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 2.15% or 0.270 points to 12.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.28% or 0.0380 points to trade at 2.9260 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.86% or 0.0280 points to end at 3.2250 and REN (LS:RENE) shed 0.65% or 0.0180 points to 2.7480.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.05% or 0.03 to $56.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.37% or 18.10 to trade at $1298.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.39% to 1.1940, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8800.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 91.98.
