Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 2.84% or 0.0220 points to trade at 0.7970 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 2.24% or 0.1200 points to end at 5.4850 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.19% or 0.0200 points to 1.7020 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.12% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.1850 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 2.01% or 0.0760 points to end at 3.7040 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 1.13% or 0.1600 points to 13.9600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.53% or 0.32 to $59.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.45% or 0.23 to hit $51.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 3.80 to trade at $1226.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.68% to 1.1316, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.8869.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 97.150.
