Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which rose 1.82% or 0.3000 points to trade at 16.7400 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.08% or 0.120 points to end at 11.280 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 1.01% or 0.0310 points to 3.0870 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.53% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.2695 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.64% or 0.1300 points to end at 7.8000 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 0.64% or 0.0400 points to 6.2000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.36% or 0.28 to $76.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.44% or 0.31 to hit $70.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.70 to trade at $1319.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1911, while EUR/GBP rose 0.88% to 0.8825.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.65.
