Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which rose 3.90% or 0.1930 points to trade at 5.1450 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 1.86% or 0.0150 points to end at 0.8200 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) was up 1.74% or 0.0155 points to 0.9045 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.58% or 0.0350 points to trade at 2.1800 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 1.49% or 0.0028 points to end at 0.1850 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 0.77% or 0.1300 points to 16.6500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.83% or 1.46 to $78.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.42% or 1.70 to hit $68.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 1.90 to trade at $1209.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1681, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 94.57.
