Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 0.97% or 0.0032 points to trade at 0.3324 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 0.86% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.2335 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.78% or 0.080 points to 10.320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae (LS:YSO), which lost 1.70% or 0.0220 points to trade at 1.2710 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.22% or 0.2000 points to end at 16.1550 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 1.10% or 0.0550 points to 4.9650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 15 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.20% or 0.14 to $70.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.96% or 0.63 to hit $66.14 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 11.10 to trade at $1351.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.2429, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.8769.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 88.84.
