Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 1.31% or 0.0440 points to trade at 3.4100 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 1.20% or 0.0035 points to end at 0.2950 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.19% or 0.120 points to 10.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which lost 3.37% or 0.0360 points to trade at 1.0320 in late trade. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.28% or 0.150 points to end at 11.600 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 1.23% or 0.2400 points to 19.2400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.04% or 0.69 to $65.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.63% or 0.40 to hit $62.61 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.40 to trade at $1321.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.2211, while EUR/GBP rose 0.72% to 0.8858.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 90.50.
