Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Energy and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.94% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 3.17% or 0.54 points to trade at 17.71 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 3.12% or 1.25 points to end at 41.31 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 2.50% or 3.0 points to 125.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.97% or 0.06 points to trade at 0.99 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 3.42% or 6.4 points to end at 180.7 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 2.75% or 6.0 points to 212.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 58 and 38 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.55% or 0.26 to $47.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.38% or 0.19 to hit $49.51 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.73 to trade at $1245.73 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.67% to 9.3348, while USD/NOK fell 0.37% to 8.0229.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 94.04.
