Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Auto & components, Energy and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.71% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 7.26% or 0.37 points to trade at 5.39 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 2.96% or 5.3 points to end at 184.5 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 2.80% or 0.56 points to 20.57 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which lost 6.48% or 15.6 points to trade at 225.1 in late trade. Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) declined 6.34% or 13.50 points to end at 199.50 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 2.09% or 4.8 points to 225.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 78 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.82% or 1.35 to $49.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.52% or 1.28 to hit $52.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.20 to trade at $1232.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.22% to 9.3820, while USD/NOK fell 0.20% to 8.5441.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 98.75.
