Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.45% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 5.34% or 2.23 points to trade at 44.00 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 4.27% or 0.05 points to end at 1.27 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 3.53% or 0.31 points to 9.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which lost 2.19% or 4.4 points to trade at 196.4 in late trade. Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) declined 1.92% or 9.2 points to end at 470.0 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 1.34% or 2.10 points to 154.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 89 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.66% or 0.89 to $52.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.55% or 0.88 to hit $55.94 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.83% or 9.55 to trade at $1161.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.41% to 9.0126, while USD/NOK fell 0.01% to 8.6560.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 103.18.
