Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Transport and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 5.49% or 6.5 points to trade at 126.1 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 1.62% or 0.79 points to end at 49.59 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 1.14% or 0.65 points to 57.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 6.37% or 0.52 points to trade at 7.64 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 4.61% or 0.7 points to end at 14.1 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) shed 4.54% or 1.95 points to 41.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 88 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.75% or 0.94 to $52.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.74% or 0.98 to hit $55.38 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.12% or 14.00 to trade at $1236.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.40% to 8.9072, while USD/NOK rose 0.71% to 8.4698.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 102.09.
