Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Capital Goods, Commercial Service And Supplies and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.73% or 3.45 points to trade at 76.45 at the close. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) added 2.84% or 2.90 points to end at 104.90 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 2.53% or 12.20 points to 493.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 6.81% or 1.27 points to trade at 17.30 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 2.59% or 1.19 points to end at 47.00 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 1.26% or 0.46 points to 36.04.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 87 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.53% or 0.35 to $65.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.41% or 0.29 to hit $71.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.50 to trade at $1185.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 9.6657, while USD/NOK fell 0.10% to 8.4681.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 96.16.
