Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Banking and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 3.55% or 0.30 points to trade at 8.62 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 1.77% or 1.15 points to end at 66.10 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 1.22% or 0.01 points to 0.99 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which lost 2.47% or 1.00 points to trade at 39.50 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 2.07% or 4.3 points to end at 203.6 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) shed 1.34% or 1.10 points to 80.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 82 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.16% or 0.53 to $46.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.08% or 0.52 to hit $48.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.83 to trade at $1255.73 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.41% to 9.3308, while USD/NOK fell 0.19% to 8.0177.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.86.
