Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Capital Goods, Diversified Financials and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 2.20% or 6.20 points to trade at 287.40 at the close. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 1.88% or 1.1 points to end at 61.8 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 1.50% or 1.35 points to 91.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 5.88% or 2.05 points to trade at 32.83 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.68% or 11.00 points to end at 399.00 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 1.66% or 5.0 points to 295.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 81 and 33 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.84% or 1.25 to $69.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.90% or 1.42 to hit $76.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.74% or 20.80 to trade at $1214.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.05% to 9.6855, while USD/NOK fell 0.71% to 8.3280.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 95.01.
