Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Construction & Building Materials and Distributors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 9.96% or 11.10 points to trade at 122.60 at the close. Risma (CS:RIS) added 6.40% or 6.50 points to end at 108.00 and Timar (CS:TIM) was up 5.75% or 13.00 points to 239.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Med Paper (CS:PAP), which lost 8.17% or 1.75 points to trade at 19.67 in late trade. Label Vie (CS:LBV) declined 3.09% or 37 points to end at 1160 and CIH (CS:CIH) shed 2.68% or 8.00 points to 290.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 16 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.55% or 1.67 to $45.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.41% or 1.68 to hit $47.53 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.80 to trade at $1187.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.26% to 10.6710, while USD/MAD fell 0.28% to 10.0469.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 101.13.
