Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Distributors and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Disway SA (CS:DWY), which rose 4.94% or 21.00 points to trade at 446.00 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) added 1.78% or 2.75 points to end at 157.00 and Taslif (CS:TSF1) was up 1.09% or 0.25 points to 23.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM), which lost 3.54% or 59 points to trade at 1610 in late trade. Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) declined 3.01% or 5.00 points to end at 161.00 and Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) shed 2.89% or 7.15 points to 240.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.17% or 0.09 to $54.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $60.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1276.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.14% to 11.0680, while USD/MAD fell 0.25% to 9.4887.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 94.61.
