Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Beverage sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sothema (CS:SOT), which rose 5.94% or 84 points to trade at 1499 at the close. Taslif (CS:TSF1) added 4.46% or 1.15 points to end at 26.95 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 3.94% or 4.85 points to 127.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1), which lost 5.96% or 118 points to trade at 1861 in late trade. Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) declined 5.32% or 14.90 points to end at 265.10 and Lydec (CS:LYD) shed 4.92% or 31.60 points to 611.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 31 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.93% or 0.61 to $64.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.66% or 0.45 to hit $68.13 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1339.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.06% to 11.3730, while USD/MAD rose 0.32% to 9.1617.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 89.34.
