Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Invest Companies & Other Finance and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Disway SA (CS:DWY), which rose 9.22% or 32.00 points to trade at 379.00 at the close. Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) added 6.49% or 6.40 points to end at 105.00 and Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) was up 5.08% or 150 points to 3100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM), which lost 4.08% or 60 points to trade at 1410 in late trade. Jet Contractors (CS:JET) declined 2.99% or 9.95 points to end at 323.00 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) shed 2.97% or 1.90 points to 62.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.61% or 0.45 to $73.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.84% or 0.71 to hit $83.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.35% or 16.30 to trade at $1189.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.22% to 10.8900, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.4914.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 95.53.
