Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 8.33% or 2.00 points to trade at 26.00 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 8.32% or 1.06 points to end at 13.80 and Snep (CS:SNP) was up 7.12% or 29.90 points to 449.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Taslif (CS:TSF1), which lost 5.96% or 1.49 points to trade at 23.51 in late trade. Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) declined 2.96% or 8.00 points to end at 262.00 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) shed 2.40% or 33 points to 1343.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.17% or 0.61 to $51.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.70% or 0.43 to hit $60.89 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.65 to trade at $1291.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 10.8779, while USD/MAD rose 0.04% to 9.5495.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.762.
