Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Transport and Beverage sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 6.60% or 9.90 points to trade at 159.90 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) added 5.63% or 32.00 points to end at 599.90 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 5.14% or 36 points to 729 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which lost 5.98% or 9.10 points to trade at 143.20 in late trade. Salafin (CS:SLF) declined 3.17% or 28 points to end at 868 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) shed 2.07% or 18 points to 850.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 16 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.52% or 0.86 to $57.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.96% or 1.22 to hit $63.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1249.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 11.1370, while USD/MAD fell 0.02% to 9.4662.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 93.95.
