Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Software & Computer Services and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which rose 6.23% or 1.29 points to trade at 22.00 at the close. Taslif (CS:TSF1) added 5.98% or 1.40 points to end at 24.82 and Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) was up 2.97% or 7.50 points to 260.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which lost 8.83% or 7.94 points to trade at 82.01 in late trade. Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) declined 3.85% or 3.00 points to end at 75.00 and Lydec (CS:LYD) shed 3.03% or 15.00 points to 480.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 14 and 10 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.19% or 0.10 to $52.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $61.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1289.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.03% to 10.9031, while USD/MAD rose 0.26% to 9.4690.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 95.018.
