Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Construction & Building Materials and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which rose 3.62% or 23 points to trade at 658 at the close. Taqa Morocco SA (CS:TQM) added 2.66% or 25.00 points to end at 965.00 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) was up 2.56% or 0.44 points to 17.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Micro Data SA (CS:MIC), which lost 2.57% or 7.40 points to trade at 280.60 in late trade. Risma (CS:RIS) declined 1.38% or 2.50 points to end at 178.05 and AFMA SA (CS:AFM) shed 1.33% or 15 points to 1111.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.18% or 0.13 to $71.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.50% or 0.40 to hit $79.68 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1290.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.01% to 11.1320, while USD/MAD rose 0.08% to 9.4354.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.32.
