Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Holding Companies and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which rose 5.85% or 90 points to trade at 1629 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 5.18% or 0.96 points to end at 19.50 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) was up 4.17% or 2.00 points to 50.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Oulmes (CS:OULM), which lost 5.98% or 118 points to trade at 1856 in late trade. Alliances (CS:ADI) declined 5.36% or 12 points to end at 208 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) shed 5.11% or 7.00 points to 130.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 18 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.46% or 0.28 to $61.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.35% or 0.23 to hit $65.12 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 8.80 to trade at $1316.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.25% to 11.3030, while USD/MAD rose 0.19% to 9.1776.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 90.07.
