Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Insurance, Construction and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 2.49% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Hygeia (AT:HYGr), which rose 8.49% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.115 at the close. Meanwhile, Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr) added 5.47% or 0.41 points to end at 7.91 and Attica Bank (AT:BOAr) was up 5.13% or 0.002 points to 0.039 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which fell 26.00% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.111 at the close. Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) declined 18.20% or 0.09 points to end at 0.40 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was down 15.28% or 0.22 points to 1.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 50 to 35 and 7 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was up 0.34% or 3.90 to $1157.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.40% or 0.99 to hit $40.33 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.58% or 1.21 to trade at $45.41 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.94% to 1.1346, while EUR/GBP rose 0.98% to 0.7234.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.73% at 95.08.
