Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which rose 2.27% or 5.4 points to trade at 242.8 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 2.15% or 9.1 points to end at 432.5 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 1.80% or 5.5 points to 311.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which lost 1.61% or 0.58 points to trade at 35.42 in late trade. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 1.15% or 2.5 points to end at 214.4 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) shed 0.84% or 2.5 points to 294.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 32 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.41% or 0.72 to $51.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.76% or 0.95 to hit $54.97 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.85% or 9.65 to trade at $1139.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.41% to 7.1082, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4340.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 102.73.
