Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 5.75% or 0.660 points to trade at 12.130 at the close. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 1.43% or 0.75 points to end at 53.30 and Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) was up 1.41% or 0.18 points to 12.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which lost 2.47% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.154 in late trade. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 2.20% or 0.63 points to end at 27.97 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) shed 2.07% or 0.15 points to 7.09.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 217 to 130 and 19 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.07% or 0.51 to $48.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.18% or 0.61 to hit $52.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.38 to trade at $1293.38 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.1803, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.9231.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.19.
