Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Basic Industry and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 3.19%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Eagle High Plantations Tbk (JK:BWPT), which rose 24.65% or 53 points to trade at 268 at the close. Meanwhile, Express Transindo Utama Tbk (JK:TAXI) added 16.61% or 47 points to end at 330 and Intikeramik Alamasri Industri (JK:IKAI) was up 6.48% or 7 points to 115 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tigaraksa Satria Tbk (JK:TGKA), which fell 10.00% or 530 points to trade at 4770 at the close. Pelayaran Tempuran Emas Tbk (JK:TMAS) declined 10.00% or 155 points to end at 1395 and Global Mediacom Tbk (JK:BMTR) was down 10.00% or 110 points to 990.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 251 to 73 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.52% or 0.24 to $46.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.85% or 9.90 to trade at $1154.60 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.71% to 13608.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.99% to 9779.45.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 94.83.
