Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Industry, Agriculture and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Victoria Investama Tbk (JK:VICO), which rose 34.83% or 31 points to trade at 120 at the close. Star Petrcohem Tbk (JK:STAR) added 33.93% or 19 points to end at 75 and Enseval Putra Megatrading Tbk (JK:EPMT) was up 24.89% or 560 points to 2810 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tunas Alfin Tbk (JK:TALF), which lost 24.29% or 102 points to trade at 318 in late trade. Fortune Indonesia Tbk (JK:FORU) declined 8.26% or 18 points to end at 200 and Intermedia Capital Tbk (JK:MDIA) shed 7.32% or 150 points to 1900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 201 to 128 and 95 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.49% or 0.72 to $47.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.55% or 0.79 to hit $50.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1245.25 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.00% to 13326.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.26% to 10220.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 99.66.
