Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Agriculture, Miscellaneous Industry and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk (JK:BTEK), which rose 27.03% or 20 points to trade at 94 at the close. Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Jasa Mitra Abadi Tbk PT (JK:JMAS) added 25.00% or 74 points to end at 370 and Campina Ice Cream Industry Tbk PT (JK:CAMP) was up 24.49% or 121 points to 615 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mulia Industrindo Tbk (JK:MLIA), which lost 19.29% or 135 points to trade at 565 in late trade. Voksel Electric Tbk (JK:VOKS) declined 13.43% or 36 points to end at 232 and Maskapai Reasuransi Indonesia (JK:MREI) shed 11.48% or 480 points to 3700.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 222 to 113 and 119 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.35% or 0.20 to $57.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $63.79 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.90 to trade at $1268.10 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.06% to 13573.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.09% to 10395.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.06.
