Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Property and Infrastructure sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 1.15% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Tira Austenite Tbk (JK:TIRA), which rose 34.41% or 64 points to trade at 250 at the close. Indonesian Paradise Property (JK:INPP) added 23.81% or 125 points to end at 650 and Lippo Cikarang Tbk (JK:LPCK) was up 23.16% or 440 points to 2340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arthavest Tbk (JK:ARTA), which lost 23.66% or 310 points to trade at 1000 in late trade. Asuransi Bina Dana Arta Tbk (JK:ABDA) declined 20.00% or 1120 points to end at 4480 and Estika Tata Tiara Tbk PT (JK:BEEF) shed 15.72% or 50 points to 268.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 234 to 170 and 140 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.65% or 0.33 to $50.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.68% or 0.40 to hit $59.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.75 to trade at $1288.55 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.19% to 14092.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.09% to 10150.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.468.
