Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Infrastructure, Property and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 1.02% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Smartfren Telecom Tbk (JK:FREN), which rose 33.33% or 47 points to trade at 188 at the close. Rig Tenders Tbk (JK:RIGS) added 24.53% or 78 points to end at 396 and Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk (JK:WIIM) was up 24.49% or 72 points to 366 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Onix Capital Tbk (JK:OCAP), which lost 34.12% or 58 points to trade at 112 in late trade. Marga Abhinaya Abadi Tbk PT (JK:MABA) declined 24.73% or 23 points to end at 70 and Arthavest Tbk (JK:ARTA) shed 15.72% or 180 points to 965.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 259 to 175 and 120 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.40% or 0.75 to $52.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.34% or 0.83 to hit $61.15 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.25 to trade at $1317.95 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.20% to 13922.0, while AUD/IDR fell 1.58% to 9931.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.903.
