Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Agriculture, Mining and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Gunawan Dianjaya Steel Tbk (JK:GDST), which rose 34.78% or 32 points to trade at 124 at the close. Saranacentral Bajatama Tbk (JK:BAJA) added 24.75% or 50 points to end at 252 and Krakatau Steel Persero Tbk (JK:KRAS) was up 24.27% or 125 points to 640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Multi Prima Sejahtera Tbk (JK:LPIN), which lost 23.08% or 300 points to trade at 1000 in late trade. PT Cahayasakti Investindo Sukses Tbk (JK:CSIS) declined 22.07% or 245 points to end at 865 and Wicaksana Overseas International (JK:WICO) shed 19.75% or 96 points to 390.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 189 to 156 and 96 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.75% or 0.87 to $48.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.80% or 0.94 to hit $51.30 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.80 to trade at $1264.90 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.14% to 13307.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.36% to 9901.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 97.21.
