Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Property and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Satria Mega Kencana Tbk PT (JK:SOTS), which unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to trade at 436 at the close. Majapahit Inti Corpora Tbk PT (JK:AKSI) added 20.28% or 58 points to end at 344 and Cottonindo Ariesta Tbk PT (JK:KPAS) was up 18.33% or 110 points to 710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renuka Coalindo Tbk (JK:SQMI), which lost 25.00% or 185 points to trade at 555 in late trade. Tifico Fiber Indonesia Tbk (JK:TFCO) declined 21.79% or 170 points to end at 610 and Onix Capital Tbk (JK:OCAP) shed 20.26% or 62 points to 244.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 234 to 164 and 129 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.11% or 1.09 to $52.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.86% or 1.12 to hit $61.32 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1249.75 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.06% to 14591.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.74% to 10592.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.343.
