Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Infrastructure and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Indorama Synthetics Tbk (JK:INDR), which rose 19.75% or 1200 points to trade at 7275 at the close. Transcoal Pacific Tbk PT (JK:TCPI) added 18.35% or 200 points to end at 1290 and Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (JK:DSSA) was up 16.93% or 3475.00 points to 24000.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trikomsel Oke Tbk (JK:TRIO), which lost 24.87% or 470 points to trade at 1420 in late trade. Multifiling Mitra Indonesia (JK:MFMI) declined 24.26% or 205 points to end at 640 and Ancora Indonesia Resources Tbk (JK:OKAS) shed 16.17% or 54 points to 280.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 193 to 193 and 111 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.66% or 0.44 to $66.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.80% or 0.58 to hit $71.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.10 to trade at $1223.20 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.15% to 14413.5, while AUD/IDR rose 0.38% to 10655.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 95.03.
