Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 2.57% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr), which rose 5.30% or 0.0700 points to trade at 1.3900 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 2.23% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.5960 and Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) was up 1.98% or 0.04 points to 2.06 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which lost 11.49% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.131 in late trade. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 6.18% or 0.004 points to end at 0.067 and Reds (AT:CAMr) shed 4.76% or 0.040 points to 0.800.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 83 to 23 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.36% or 4.30 to $1205.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.59% or 0.44 to hit $74.77 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.09 to trade at $84.67 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1511, while EUR/GBP fell 0.51% to 0.8797.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 95.38.
