Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Travel, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 2.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr), which rose 1.94% or 0.04 points to trade at 2.10 at the close. Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) added 1.87% or 0.5400 points to end at 29.4800 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 1.44% or 0.02 points to 1.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which lost 9.09% or 0.0068 points to trade at 0.0680 in late trade. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 7.39% or 0.150 points to end at 1.880 and Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) shed 5.58% or 0.535 points to 9.045.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 71 to 31 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.67% or 8.00 to $1195.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.48% or 1.07 to hit $73.19 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.68% or 1.37 to trade at $82.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1622, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8909.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.67.
