Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Retail, Banking and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which rose 13.70% or 1.03 points to trade at 8.55 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 7.33% or 0.028 points to end at 0.410 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was up 6.54% or 0.134 points to 2.182 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intralot (AT:INLr), which lost 10.20% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.880 in late trade. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 6.90% or 0.010 points to end at 0.135 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 5.59% or 0.0095 points to 0.1600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 63 to 49 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.48% or 6.30 to $1307.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 3.39% or 2.40 to hit $68.33 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.89% or 2.20 to trade at $73.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1856, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.8778.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 93.03.
